A New Call to Action

Hello and Happy Thursday!  It has been a GREAT day with the support of Governor Burgum and Senator Hoeven!

Please make sure that you send a Thank You to them! We made it easy for you: https://www.mobilize.us/chwha/event/549484/

As we said, this fight is still far from over.  Just because the comment period has closed.  Just because Governor Burgum and Senator Hoeven stepped into the arena.  Just because everything else that has happened – we ALL need to do our best to keep this in the forefront.  Personally, I thought that my life would get easier after January 31st.  It hasn’t! lol THIS isn’t over until there are concrete plans in place to keep a genetically viable herd of horses in Theodore Roosevelt National Park – NOW and for future generations to enjoy the same as we are able to today.

Today we have a whole new call to action for you!

As you know, our North Dakota legislators have entered Senate Concurrent Resolution SCR 4014.  Again – HUGE KUDOS to our North Dakota state legislators for working with us to put that together.

NOW we need your help!  There is an online comment period now for our Senate hearings.  That comment period is now open.

This comment period is different that the parks.  They are not asking for hard scientific information – so no information gathering needed.  Simply and respectfully let our North Dakota legislators know that you want the horses to stay in the park and feel free to add why.  If you have scientific, historical, cultural etc information to share – please do! You don’t have to live in North Dakota to comment.

Please send your comments to them.  They can be entered on their website here: https://ndlegis.gov/assembly/68-2023/regular/bill-hearings/bh4014.html?bill_year=2023&bill_number=4014

Thank you for your support!

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home!  We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control.  Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans.  We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
