Hello and Happy Tuesday!
On December 12, 2022, Theodore Roosevelt National Park announced their plans to eliminate the ENTIRE herd of horses from the park! Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates has been leading the fight to save these amazing wild horses!
With your help, these horses have gained a lot of support over the last 2 months! Thank you!
These horses are STILL NOT safe, so our fight continues!
We have a NEW “Call to Action” for you!
First, have you completed our last “Call to Action”? You can find our current “Call to Actions” on our website: https://chwha.org/calls-to-action/
We have ALL learned that there is strength in numbers. That has proved to be more powerful when it is coupled with the work that Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is doing behind the scenes. Strength in numbers is HOW we got North Dakota Senate Concurrent Resolution SCR 4014 drafted and introduced into the 2023 ND Legislative Session! THANK YOU! Because of your emails and phone calls, the North Dakota state Senate voted to pass SCR 4014 UNANIMOUSLY!! Now it moves to the ND House for testimony and a vote!
The first “Call to Action” on our page asks you to send us your comments that we will personally deliver to the North Dakota House when we testify. https://secure.everyaction.com/UjcKwEYRSkO-TDc6OfAXMQ2
Our NEW “Call to Action” is asking North Dakota Congressman Kelly Armstrong to join us in the fight to keep the wild horses IN Theodore Roosevelt National Park!
Please click on this link to send an email to Congressman Armstrong! We have made it easy for you! https://secure.everyaction.com/Rg-lK-HiAkSz6nxuYsiKmw2
We ALL want to save these horses as quickly as possible. Please understand that there is a process and a method to our madness in what we are asking you to do in our “Calls to Action”. Each one is equally important as we put together the full picture to save these iconic wild horses.
While we DO have the support of Governor Doug Burgum, our North Dakota State legislators and our federally elected North Dakota Senators: Senator Cramer and Senator Hoeven, Congressman Armstrong’s support is equally important to our advocacy work.
Thank you for taking time to respond to our “Calls to Action”! Please be sure to share our posts to help spread the word about the plight of these iconic wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
Thank you for your support!

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home! We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control. Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans. We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
