Hello and Happy Wednesday to everyone!
Have you been following our “Calls to Action”? There is NO reason for us to sit quietly while Theodore Roosevelt National Park continues their management planning process as they follow NEPA rules and perform their Environmental Assessment! There is A LOT we can all do from different angles to help save the wild horses that call TRNP home!
This week we have given you two different “Calls to Action”. Each one is important and in some cases, like getting the support of Congressman Armstrong, is extremely important for the next step we have in this angle in our advocacy toolbox! Even if you sent him a message before, there are strength in numbers – as our friend Heather at Save Our Wild Horses says – “Every letter counts!”
Does Congressman Armstrong have yours? We have made it sooo easy for you to send him an email! You can send yours by clicking here: https://secure.everyaction.com/Rg-lK-HiAkSz6nxuYsiKmw2
We also asked that you send us your comments for the North Dakota House. SCR 4014 passed the ND Senate UNANIMOUSLY and now moves to the ND House. The ND House has received the resolution and has assigned it to the Agriculture Committee. We should find out soon when they will be hearing testimony. Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates will be at the ND State Capitol building in person to testify and we will be bringing your comments with us! Make sure we have yours! https://secure.everyaction.com/UjcKwEYRSkO-TDc6OfAXMQ2
You can find links all of our current “Calls to Action” on our website here: https://chwha.org/calls-to-action/
Today, we have a NEW “Call to Action” for you!
Our friends at Save Our Wild Horses (SOWH https://saveourwildhorses.net/2023-postcard-campaign.html) are asking for help to make an impact on their 2023 Postcard Campaign! They are asking that you send a postcard to President Biden at the White House and also your own US Senators and Congressmen. You can order some cool postcards from SOWH on their website at the link above.
The 2023 Postcard Campaign will help set the stage for the 2nd Annual Save Our Wild Horses Conference that will be held in April in Washington DC!
The CHWHA board discussed how our organization and followers could help make an impact on this campaign for SOWH. CHWHA will either send you 3 postcards that feature the wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora, ND home that you can use to send in your message.
OR
We would be happy to fill out your postcard and mail it for you! Each person who signs up on our website will have one postcard sent to President Biden and there is also a place on our website for you to add the name(s) of your US Senator and/or Congressmen with your own personal message!
CHWHA is NOT charging anything for this Postcard Campaign. If you are able to make a donation to help cover postage fees, that would be appreciated but is NOT necessary!
We think this is also a GREAT (and easy) way for our international horse lover followers to get their voice heard too!

Thank you for your support!
Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home! We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control. Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans. We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
