What’s NEW This Week

Hello and Happy Monday! Happy Spring! It doesn’t feel like spring here in North Dakota. Mother Nature seems to have at least one more winter storm for us TOMORROW! The weather the last two weeks has cancelled our “Coffee with the Legislators”. We are hoping that the last one is able to go on this Saturday!

There are always things happening within CHWHA in spite of the weather!

We spoke with ND House Minority Leader Josh Boschee today and he let us know that SCR 4014 will be voted on TOMORROW in the ND House!

From there it will move to the ND Secretary of State who will distribute the resolution to the Secretary of the Interior, National Park Service Director Sams and our ND federal delegates Senator Cramer, Senator Hoeven and Congressman Armstrong!

Once we have the results of the vote, we will send our weekly email to Congressman Armstrong WITH all of your comments!  Congressman Armstrong STILL has not changed his position from December of 2022 when he stated he supported Theodore Roosevelt National Park’s decision to eliminate the ENTIRE herd of horses from the park!  You can send your own email to Congressman Armstrong by clicking on this link: https://secure.everyaction.com/Rg-lK-HiAkSz6nxuYsiKmw2 .  If you would like your own personal comment to be included in our email to Congressman Armstrong this week, please e-mail us at info@chwha.org.

You can also watch the ND House vote tomorrow on their website: https://ndlegis.gov/lcn/assembly/legss/public/floorcalendar.htm?chamber=House

We will also start a NEW series on Sunday March 26th!  We are hoping our “Horse Talks” will help raise awareness about the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  We are kicking it off with a real winner!  Dr. Castle McLaughlin will be doing a short presentation and then answering questions!  If you have questions now, feel free to email them to us at info@chwha.org.  The event is FREE, but you MUST pre-register for the event: https://secure.everyaction.com/Zigrlc4gnEWkGkIYq2km_A2

We are sure there will be more to talk about as the week unfolds, so be sure to check back!

Thank you for your support and have a GREAT week!

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home!  We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control.  Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans.  We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
