Chatting with ND House Majority Leader Representative Mike Lefor

Hello and Happy Thursday!

We have A LOT to share today!

In this post we wanted to share a conversation we had with North Dakota House Majority Leader Mike Lefor at the final “Coffee with the Legislators” that was held by the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce.

We discussed our concerns with Representative Lefor about Superintendent Richman’s remarks in the National Park Traveler (you can read the article here: https://www.nationalparkstraveler.org/2023/03/update-key-feral-horse-issue-theodore-roosevelt-national-park-natural-ecosystem?fbclid=IwAR0QrzBsrwB-a-5Dbe4jza1reMEfdnou78MEmyOk3tH88H-OUook03N8eds)

We also discussed what the state of North Dakota can do.

A HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce.  These “Coffee with the Legislators” could not have come at a better time! Thank you also to all of our legislators! They really stepped into the arena to advocate with us!  Please make sure you take a moment to thank them! https://secure.everyaction.com/aE_2ghOIdEGngnTc6ySYqQ2

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home!  We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control.  Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans.  We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
