Hello and Happy Friday!
In about an hour, I’ll be on my way to the airport to check-in for my flight to Washington DC.
Some 28,000 pieces of paper have been sorted, stapled together and put neatly into presentation folders. Some traveling with me, the rest are in the hands of the UPS gods and should meet me in DC later today.

ND House Minority Leader Representative Josh Boschee was nice enough to give us some fancy State of North Dakota folders to put signed copies of SCR 4014 in. Those will be a very nice addition to our meetings next week! We got to sit in Representative Boschee’s office with him yesterday for a short time. He shared with us that he got his start through grass roots movements like ours. He said that is why the work we are doing really caught his attention. He also offered some great advice for our advocacy work. I am so grateful to have his support!

Frontier & Arrowhead are coming with me to let people know that we are in DC to Fight for the Spirit of the Badlands!

The local media have been alerted to our upcoming arrival in DC. Here’s hoping some of them chose to talk about why this lady came ALL the way from North Dakota to our nation’s capital at this time.
My presentation for Monday has been saved, emailed and back-up emailed to the event coordinators. Some meetings have already been set up with other advocates that will be at the conference. I look forward to their knowledge and insights. A few others are on a “wish list” as I am crossing my fingers that we get to talk over the next few days. I look forward to their insights and advice.
Brochures, postcards, business cards, window clings and some extra hats are all packed up and ready to be handed out.
There is nothing more for me to do besides lug my bags to the airport and get on a plane. Please keep those positive thoughts and prayers coming!
This afternoon, I have a phone meeting with our legal team and then another with a reporter from ND that wants to talk about the new findings about the FOIA documents about GonaCon and also why I am in Washington DC this week.
It will without a doubt be an extremely productive and eventful week. As always, we will do our best to bring you into moments as we can while we are here.
I can’t thank you enough for all of your help and support that got us here. There were moments I truly felt like this was way too overwhelming to even think about. And here we are!
Please don’t forget, we have until May 3rd to commit to a billboard for 12 months. This can be up on I-94 by May 15th for some of the over 800,000 people who will travel to Theodore Roosevelt National Park this summer to see! Please help us make this a reality! There are several ways you can donate listed on our website: https://chwha.org/support-chwha/

Thank you again for all of your help and support! We will check in with you soon!
Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home! We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control. Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans. We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
