Armstrong/DC Update…

Hello and Happy Monday to everyone!

It was a LONNNGGGGG DAYBUT it was another GREAT day!

After our presentation, we headed to meet with Congressman Armstrong’s office.  The staff member we spoke with really spent a lot of time with us, listened and asked questions.  He also made mention that he heard me on the radio a few weeks ago!  He asked me to send him some additional information, which I did tonight.  He also sent me an email shortly after our meeting to bump it up in my email and as a reminder to send him the info.  Overall, I felt like the meeting was promising.

Then we spent a lot of time moving between the 3 House office buildings talking to as many staff members as possible.  We passed out about 40 packets today!  A LOT of good information was shared with us by some of the different staff members.

Today ended with a special screening of Wild Beauty: Mustang Spirit of the West.  You can view the official trailer here: https://youtu.be/GepQ5h_UqF8

As hard as it was to watch the movie, it is the story that NEEDS to be told.  There are a couple of ways you can help, please help if you can, and remember, sharing posts is a GREAT way to help!:

WILD BEAUTY: MUSTANG SPIRIT OF THE WEST is officially available for pre-order on iTunes! Please show your support for wild horses, and pre-order the film before May 12th.

If they get over 200 pre-orders, Apple will place WILD BEAUTY higher on the platform and reach more people!

They will be doing a special screening for Congress in June!  Another way you can help is to share the link to the trailer on social media with the hashtag #istandwiththehorses and a hashtag of your federally elected officials names to encourage them to attend the screening.

It has been a long day and I’m exhausted for sure!  I promise to share my conversation with Dr. Ross MacPhee as soon as I get a moment!

Thank you for your support and have a GREAT night!

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home!  We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control.  Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans.  We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.

  1. Was hoping you met with KellyArmstrong personally but at least his staff will be able to relay your (ours too) concerns. If ever I see him in person here I plan on talking with him just so he sees that this little corner of ND( really the whole world) is very concerned about these beautiful wild horses!!
