One question we get asked a lot is “How can I help?”
For those of you who have asked, we are beyond petitions. The ENTIRE state of North Dakota – INCLUDING our North Dakota legislators, our federal delegates, Governor Doug Burgum as well as several businesses and organizations throughout the state are ALL advocating with us to help save these iconic wild horses. There is no need to send them letters asking for their support.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we rely on volunteers and donations to help us continue to Fight for the Spirit of the Badlands!
Sharing our blogs and social media posts are GREAT ways that anyone can help!
We announced yesterday that we will be holding an online silent auction September 24-30, 2023. We are looking for items to be included in our auction. All of the proceeds from this online auction will go to help support our critical advocacy work as we continue our fight to keep the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park wild and free! We have already received about a dozen items! THANK YOU! To those of you who donated items already! Items can literally be ANYTHING and do not have to be directly related to the wild horses of TRNP. We have received retail gift cards, Breyer model horses, paintings, drawings, calendars, resort gift cards, quilts, books, cooking classes and gift baskets! Are you getting excited about this silent auction? WE ARE TOO! Next week we will be attending our Giving Hearts Day kickoff meeting! Giving Hearts Day is February 8, 2024! And YES, we have to start planning NOW for what was our biggest fundraiser of 2023! We will need help contacting potential donors as we work to set up our matching donation fund!
We will always need help sending letters to potential donors for different fundraising campaigns throughout the year.
Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is also looking for people to help us expand our social media reach.

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home! We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control. Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans. We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
