Grateful, Thankful & Blessed

Hello and Happy Thursday!

We shared this on our social media pages, but we also wanted to share this with all of you here too.

We are honored to have been featured in Magnate View Magazine as one of the Top 5 Pioneering Leaders Shaping the Future in 2025.

We are honored and wanted to say THANK YOU to each one of you for all your hard work and dedication to the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

You can view the entire article here: https://magnateview.com/a-trailblazing-journey-an-interview-with-christine-kman-president-and-co-founder-of-chasing-horses-wild-horse-advocates/

There is also a digital version of the magazine here: https://online.fliphtml5.com/bgtkc/fwqj/#p=1

THANK YOU to each and every one of you who have been instrumental in the successes that have been realized by our organization.  We hope you will take a moment today to celebrate all your hard work and dedication to this iconic wild horse herd.

We have said before that the last 3 years have been intense for all of us as we worked hard to keep the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in the only home they have ever known.  We were successful in that endeavor last year when the park announced they were abandoning their plans to eliminate the horses.

While that was a HUGE victory – WE ACTUALLY STOPPED A WILD HORSE ROUNDUP!!!! We NEVER want to have a repeat of the last 3 years again!

We have spent the better part of this year having individual meetings with staff from the Secretary of the Interior’s office, Senator Hoeven’s office, other members of Congress and the new TRNP Superintendent, Rachel Daniels.

As we discussed yesterday in our blog, we had a conversation with Senator Hoeven’s office last Friday.  The hope is that once the government shutdown is over, this fall they will be having hearings on The Theodore Roosevelt National Park Wild Horse Protection Act.

This is our time and our one chance to make sure the legislation that gets passed does all it can to ensure these historic wild horses are protected.  We do not believe that is possible with the legislation as it is currently written.

We will need EVERYONE’s help to get this amended and passed!  Yesterday, we started a blog series that will discuss amendments we are requesting so that you can be educated to speak to this with your own senator and committee members.

You can read yesterday’s blog here: https://chwha.org/2025/10/15/federal-legislation-the-theodore-roosevelt-national-park-wild-horse-protection-act/

We need your support now more than ever as we work to secure the future of these historic wild horses.  You can make a donation to us here: https://secure.everyaction.com/wnK6YjHlTkCC2Aq57_7srQ2

Our Fall Online Silent Auction is happening NOW through Sunday 10/19 at 8pm Mountain Time.  There are over 100 items waiting for your bids!  You can check out all of the items in our auction, and place your bid here: https://chwha.betterworld.org/auctions/chwha-2025-fall-auction

That is so amazing a real showing of all of the effort that everyone put in to save these amazing horses. I am so glad to hear this but I think we still need to keep fighting for all wild horses everywhere including the horses of Roosevelt Park.
