The purpose of the rally is for the public to express their concerns about the management of the wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home. What prompted our request for a meeting with the park were the documents that American Wild Horse Campaign received from their Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. We have continued our conversation with Dan Baker via email and based on the information we have; we drafted a new petition that we are asking that you sign and share. While we understand that the results that found at TRNP about the use of GonaCon are promising, it is clear that more research needs to be done. When the person who led the experiment is concerned about the current radical use of GonaCon, we think that makes a statement! We are asking for your help to do EXACTLY what Dr. Baker said we should do:
HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE!!!
TRNP is currently administering GonaCon to every female horse aged 8 months old and up EVERY YEAR!
If we win this fight to keep these horses IN the only home they have ever known, what good will it do if we do not have a reproductive herd?

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home! We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control. Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans. We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
