It has been an incredibly busy week/month/year!
There is a lot happening and I am excited that either later today or tomorrow, we will be able to share some of what we are working on with you!
Also, many of you have asked and no we still have not received responses from many of the wild horse organizations we have asked to help us financially as we move forward to gain permanent protection for this herd. One organization has offered us “In kind” support to pursue our efforts. Aside from that one organization, we have not heard a word.

We had a couple of meetings with our government relations team over the last week. They did a great job for us meeting a deadline we have for some important legislation. We will be able to share that with all of you very soon!
I have also been buried under a mound of paperwork and reports needed for real deadlines for some grant applications. Once I have a free moment, I will share some of those with you. I do think you will find some of them interesting! It has been fun looking back over the last year. I am continually impressed with the work we all did to remove the immediate threat for the TRNP herd. Now we need to solidify that with federal protection!
Our small business is the other aspect of my life that takes up a lot of my time. That will only get busier as the Medora Musical officially kicks off tomorrow and traffic in the town of Medora is expected to significantly increase.
We have our NEW Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates brochures available at the Chasing Horses store in Medora as well as some other stores and museums in town. I was able to get some great shots of Dolly’s new baby, Colt Casey, during one of my last visits to the park! His picture is attached to this post. Isn’t he adorable? Stallion Cagney is the presumed sire.
