Hello and Happy Sunday to everyone!

It has been a crazy couple of weeks as we race to meet a grant deadline!  I believe we will be ready to send in all of our information tomorrow!  Then, we wait!

This process has been extremely eye-opening and has caused our board to discuss who we are now that the immediate threat of removal for the horses is over.

It is great not to have to be as reactive to the actions of the park.  Obviously, state legislation and federal protection are on our agenda.

I keep going back to our what our non-profit lawyer said when we started our non-profit: “A non-profit organization belongs to the community it serves.”

As Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates does a bit of restructuring over the next couple of months, we want to hear from you!  What would you like to see CHWHA work to accomplish? Send us a PM or email at info@chwha.org and let us know!

One thing will never change: Our goal is to have these horses remain within the boundaries of the park where future generations can experience the beauty and majesty of these historic wild horses, just as Theodore Roosevelt did during his time in the badlands.  We will continue to fight for a genetically viable herd of wild horses to always remain in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

As we worked on this grant paperwork, we put together a 2023 Annual Report.  We think you will enjoy looking at it!  We are very proud of not only how this turned out, but we remain extremely proud of everything we were able to accomplish together last year!
