Actions to Help Alluvium

Hello and Happy Sunday to everyone!

We have been asked by many of you what you can do to help 2019 Stallion Alluvium.  We have a couple of ways that you can help:

  1. Write a Letter to the Editor to the Fargo Forum.  They have had a couple of stories about Alluvium.  You can submit your letter by sending it to letters@forumcomm.com. Please copy and paste the letter into the email, rather than sending attachments. Send via mail to Letters to the editor, PO Box 2020, Fargo, N.D., 58107.  You can read our Letter to the Editor that was printed this weekend here: https://www.inforum.com/opinion/letters/letter-park-superintendent-is-the-real-nuisance
  2. Send an email to Superintendent Richman, our ND Federal Legislators, President Biden and others.  We made this easy for you!  You can customize your email here: https://secure.everyaction.com/4bIr7BLQ60SHxHhJLAI_-Q2  Please remember to be respectful.
  3. Last week, we sent a petition to the North Dakota Pardon Advisory Board asking for their help.  Please send them an email asking that they support a pardon for Alluvium.  You can send an email here: pardonclerk@nd.gov
  4. We sent the same petition to the US Pardon Advisory Board asking for their help as well.  You can send them an email asking that they pardon Alluvium here: USPardon.Attorney@usdoj.gov

Will any of this work?  We have no idea!  We do know that turkeys are pardoned every year so why not a wild horse who is really only guilty of giving some visitors a magical experience that they will never forget.   We know one thing for sure: Doing NOTHING will do NOTHING to save Alluvium.  If you have other suggestions for us to try, feel free to email us at info@chwha.org

It may be helpful to add the links to articles written about Alluvium when you contact the Pardon Advisory Boards.  The links to the articles are here: https://www.inforum.com/news/north-dakota/bachelor-stallion-marked-for-ouster-from-park-where-contraception-removal-of-wild-horses-continues

A few other reminders:

TOMORROW is the last day to enter to win this beautiful original pastel of Filly Thora that was donated to us by Trish Bonnette!

To enter for a chance to win, simply make a donation of at least $10 to Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates.  You will receive 1 entry for every $10 you donate. You can make your donation through any of the methods listed on our website: https://chwha.org/support-chwha/

Our friends at Chasing Horses still have a few Alluvium buttons left!  If you make a donation of $5 or more, they will send one to you!  After you make a donation, send them an email at imchasinghorses@gmail.com and let them know you want a button.  Be sure to include your mailing address!

We also have a fundraiser on Bonfire for T-shirts that support a pardon for Alluvium.  You can order yours here: https://www.bonfire.com/pardon-alluvium160/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=post_campaign_launch&utm_campaign=pardon-alluvium160&utm_content=default&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR28BWJXZQPRNiJPryQgY1iqNcAOLf9yiEB7Oqcys8xhwSen1q1DnHc3kRY_aem_a1yqnPGm1ori0QcUKDRA5A

Thank you for your support and have a great weekend!
