Consistent Pressure Constantly Applied

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

We wanted to share a press release from today with you:

MEDORA, N.D – On Tuesday, August 13, Senator John Hoeven will tour Theodore Roosevelt National Park (TRNP) with National Park Service (NPS) Midwest Regional Director Bert Frost. Hoeven is hosting Frost in the state to discuss management of the park’s wild horses and review progress on repairs to the scenic loop in the south unit. This comes as the latest in the senator’s efforts to ensure NPS maintains a healthy, genetically-diverse horse herd at the park. Hoeven also worked to fund and advance the $41 million repair project, restoring the roadway following its failure due to erosion.

It is both refreshing and encouraging that Senator Hoeven remains engaged in the future management of the wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.  We are thankful for his unwavering efforts to make sure that a genetically viable herd of wild horses remains in the park.

We are also thankful to each and every one of you who has helped to keep the plight of these historic wild horses in the limelight and on Senator Hoeven’s radar!  It is because of you that he remains engaged!

We do know that some of our media contacts will be covering this story.  We will share those links on our social media pages as they are available.

Also, Bice Policy Group is finishing up the first draft of our state legislation!  We should be starting to have meetings with our ND state legislators soon!  We will share more on this as we reach a final draft!

On another note – ALL of the postcards have been mailed out!  I believe we mailed out right around 800.  If you have not received yours yet, you should be getting them any day now.  If you do have them, please check back later today for a NEW blog with directions on what to do with them, the message to share and the members of Congress that we are targeting.

Thank you again for your continued support!

Fabulous! Glad Sen Hoeven is following up. As you say, consistent and continuous pressure is critical to ensuring no backsliding by the NPS.
