And now for a bonus post…

A couple of months ago, I was contacted by BisMan, Inc magazine.  They run an article every month about “Women You Should Know” I cannot fully express how humbled and truly honored I am that they chose me for one of their articles.  There was some back and forth about when this would be released, and in my last conversation with their reporter, she thought it would be out in October.  Imagine my surprise when TODAY I was tagged in a post from them with the article in the August issue!

This article gives a little background on me and my husband Gary and how “it all started”. 

I continue to be blown away by the direction life has taken my husband Gary and I since we moved to North Dakota.  We are both grateful to everyone who supports our small business and our non-profit.  Life is by no means “easy”, but I truly love what I do and love the life we have built in North Dakota. 

I wanted to take this opportunity to once again say THANK YOU to each and every one of you for your support.  Leading Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates and watching it continue to grow and transform is an honor.  Thank you for trusting me to lead this organization as we continue to Fight for the Spirit of the Badlands.

    Chris, I’m so grateful and was honored to meet you last month on our visit to TRNP from Florida to see the wild horses!
    I’m happy for you and your husband that CWHA received the notice/ mention in this article you and your husband truly deserve for all the hard work and efforts you put in to give these wild horses, The Spirit of the Badlands, as you so eloquently

    I’ve been following CWHA for a few months and I’m thankful to receive the action items and updates. I live in the East, but know the value of our historical treasure in the wild mustangs and appreciate and admire your leadership and work advocating for them. Congratulations on this article that recognizes you and your husband’s hard work and tenacity.

    I’ve known you for a very long time and I know your passion runs deep. You pushed me to do my best and I appreciate that. You never give up once you make up your mind to do something and you make sure you succeed. You never gave me a task to do alone but worked along side me. That is the person you are. I marvel at what you and Gary have accomplished but I’m not surprised. There is a fire that burns inside you and a passion to do what is right. It’s been a struggle to save these horses but even through the darkest times you have never given up. Thank you and Gary for what you have done and what you are still doing. And as you always worked beside me I promise to work beside you.
