Hello and Happy Saturday to everyone!
In case you missed it this week, the Medora City Council unanimously passed a resolution requesting that a genetically viable herd of wild horses remain in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. THANK YOU to KX News for covering the story: https://www.kxnet.com/news/local-news/medora-city-council-passes-wild-horse-resolution/?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_medium=referral&fbclid=IwY2xjawFJz2RleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHXpE4Xe0R_hWngi85PnC9aMX_XF8q0ujMOSDejQXbHt4lUJ57GKMcVdY0A_aem_Rz9BAIGjPlyubtWfSHrzMw
Last month, the Billings County Commission passed a similar resolution.
Why do these matter?
Once these resolutions pass, they are sent to our federal legislators.
These are also important for our advocacy work because in a few weeks we will be meeting with some of our state legislators discussing legislation for North Dakota’s 2025 session. Once we have that legislation language agreed upon, we will share it with you!
At times it may seem quiet here, but there is always something happening, and a lot of work being done as we move forward with our plans to have the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park granted federal protection.
We are grateful to each and every one of you for your help and support, especially for the last two years as we fought so hard for the freedom of these amazing wild horses.
We can’t stop fighting now!
We made a request on our social media channels for you to consider making a donation of $5 or more this weekend. To add to the request, our friends at Chasing Horses offered this beautiful candle/incense holder to be raffled off on TUESDAY (9/10/24). You will get one entry for every $5 you donate. If you donate $10, you get 2 entries, $25 gets you 5 entries, etc.

Can you help support our critical advocacy work? You can make your tax-deductible donation here: https://secure.everyaction.com/cBmDbRA6cUuzERpShcQOCg2
Thank you for your support and have a great weekend!
