October 15 TRNP Wild Horse Roundup Recap

Well folks…it is almost over.  We still have no answers

BUT

Hopefully we will have some tomorrow.

Our lawyers sent this letter to the park today:

We continue to seek the advice of our legal team and will continue to do so.  CHWHA will not simply “tolerate” the park’s behavior, and we will always exercise our rights as taxpaying citizens to question our federal agencies.

Yes, I wish things could have been done sooner, but we did NOT have the TWO MONTH’S notice that other individuals and organizations did about this roundup and all of the wonderful plans the park laid out including hand injecting EVERY mare with GonaCon, adding the lovely collars to the horses and God knows what else happened this week.

We do NOT have any of the answers on what happened behind the closed off area that was out of the view of the public.

People have asked why we are not in there where all of this stuff is happening.

We will GLADLY explain that to you.

We were asked to help with this roundup.  So was North Dakota Badlands Horse, Wild in North Dakota, and Dakota Grown.  We are the only ones who declined.  So again, if you have questions about who got collars, who was injected, why some of the horses are bleeding or even WHY 2023 Filly Willow is NOT with Stallion Remington’s band – please ask those organizations as they not only have a front row seat to the cluster – THEY HAVE HANDS ON INVOLVEMENT IN THESE OPERATIONS.

As to WHY 2023 Filly Willow is SPENDING THIS COLD NIGHT ALL ALONE?!  We asked and were told by a park worker: “We are aware of where every horse is and who belongs with who.”

Well…everyone left the park, and this little filly was STILL not reunited with her family.

There is always tomorrow, right?

You can also ask them what happened to 2014 Mare Dixie.  You can see how badly she is limping in this video to where she has to drag her foot along as she works to keep up with her family.

What happened? This band has been “processed” and is sitting in the holding pens until????

Again, ask North Dakota Badlands Horse, Wild in North Dakota and/or Dakota Grown Photos what happened to Dixie.

Will Dixie be watched when she is released, to see if she can keep up with her band since she is so lame from her injections?

THIS is why Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates declined to have any involvement in this roundup!!!  Also, we were told by Blake McCann that IF we volunteered, we would have to fill out a volunteer form no doubt selling our soul and demanding our silence and support of these heinous actions against this herd.  Blake also told us that while the operation was going on, there would be NO negotiating with decisions being made.  In other words, sit back shut up and do whatever menial work we give you to do since we ALLOWED you to be here.

And watch as we decimate your BELOVED wild horse herd.

I’m sorry to those of you who think I should have accepted this invitation.  Sitting on the outside of the fence has been hard enough.

If you have issues with what is currently happening to our wild horses at Theodore Roosevelt National Park or are not happy with the collars – speak up for these horses!!! Please let Senator Hoeven’s office know: 202-224-2551. You can also let the North Dakota Department of Tourism know how you feel about coming to photograph horses with these collars: 701-328-2525. You can also call Theodore Roosevelt National Park – not that they care – 701-623-4466.

So are they just gonna keep that foal there for two months and then sell it off? Why was the foal kept? Why is this horse not with it’s mother?

I was told that willow was released and is back with her band. They say she was just in while her heard was being processed? 🤷‍♀️ this supposedly was from Emily at the park. And on one other page? I do not know the individual bands nor do I live anywhere near there so I obviously can’t go check.
