Hello and Happy Thursday to everyone!
I know it has been pretty quiet here. Thank you to everyone who has continued to check in on me with my pneumonia diagnosis. The reason for the seemingly long battle is that I was actually misdiagnosed! I was actually having an allergic reaction to new medication.
It’s been a LONG 6 months! I am FINALLY starting to feel better – now that I am not taking the medications that have been making me sick!
We have still been VERY busy!
We have been in regular communication with the new TRNP Superintendent, Rachel Daniels. We are also working with our elected officials on the federal legislation that was introduced by Senator Hoeven earlier this year. There are a few issues we have with the legislation as it is written so we are working to get those critical changes made.
Our Coloring Campaign was a HUGE success! We sent THOUSANDS of beautifully colored pages to different members of Congress and federal officials. We saved a last batch for something we are working with Linda from The Yocum Institute for Arts. We will share more on that later!
Now that I have had a moment to literally catch my breath, we need your help!
We are getting ready for Giving Hearts Day – which is our biggest fundraiser of the year. In order to participate, we have to pay our yearly fees which are $900. We also have to raise at least $3,000 that will serve as our matching fund base for the fundraiser.
To help cover these costs, we will be holding an online silent auction October 12-19, 2025.
