Hello and Happy Thursday!
We have just a few reminders for you!
This Sunday(10/12/2025) at 6 am Mountain Time our fall online silent auction begins!
We will once again be participating in Giving Hearts Day February 12, 2026. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. We are preparing for that now and part of that preparation includes raising at least $3,000 in matching funds.
Money that we raise during our fall online auction will go toward meeting that goal.
We have over 100 items that have been donated to this auction! There is literally something for everyone! We are still accepting donations. You can email us at info@chwha.org with your donation information or you can upload your donation here: https://chwha.betterworld.org/donate-an-item
You can get a sneak peek at these items here: https://chwha.betterworld.org/auctions/chwha-2025-fall-auction
Be sure to come back Sunday to place your bid(s)!
This auction will run through Sunday, 10/19/2025 at 8 pm Mountain Time. “Popcorn bidding” is enabled for this auction. That means that if there is a bid within 1 minute of the auction ending, the auction for that item will be extended for 5 minutes.
You can also make your tax-deductible donation to support our Giving Hearts Day matching fund here: https://secure.everyaction.com/YCy82yutk0GCmpk0G7q-SA2
We have had an incredible few years! Because of our critical advocacy work, we stopped the National Park Service from eliminating an ENTIRE herd of horses from Theodore Roosevelt National Park! Things like that do not happen very often in wild horse advocacy!
Our vital advocacy work still needs to continue so we can make sure that we NEVER have to fight so hard for these horses to remain in their rightful home again.
We are off to a great start! Senator Hoeven introduced The Theodore Roosevelt National Park Wild Horse Protection Act into Congress earlier this year. We are grateful for Senator Hoeven’s continued support of our TRNP wild horses!
We believe that the legislation, as it is written, is not in the best interest of the horses it was drafted to protect. We have shared these concerns with Senator Hoeven’s office and are also reaching out to other members of Congress to do all we can to make sure that the strongest piece of legislation possible is passed to ensure the longevity of this historic wild horse herd.
TRNP also appointed a new superintendent. We have had several conversations and personal meetings with Superintendent Daniels. She has assured us that she is committed to working with us on a positive path forward. We look forward to continuing to work with her and her staff as she settles into her position.
We hope that we can continue to count on your support as we continue to advocate for these iconic wild horses!
One last reminder – we DO have a 2026 Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates calendar available to NOW to also help support our advocacy work. Our 2026 calendar has the theme “Tender Moments” and has been popular already! You can grab yours here: https://chasinghorses.com/products/chwha-13-month-2026-calendar

Thank you again for your support!
