Not just another Tuesday – it is Giving Tuesday!

We hope that we can count on your support to help us meet our Giving Tuesday goal of $5,000.

Our work for the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park is not over!  The goal of CHWHA has always been to work for the proper management of the wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.  We believe that begins with much needed federal legislation for this historic wild horse herd.

The government shutdown is over and Congress is back to work!  We are waiting to hear WHEN The Theodore Roosevelt National Park Wild Horse Protection Act will go before the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee.  In the meantime, we are continuing to discuss amendments we are requesting with members of Congress.  We discussed these amendments in a blog series on Federal Legislation that can be found on the homepage of our website at www.chwha.org

We are currently working on getting information packets to Congress to help them understand the importance of the amendments we are requesting as well as how important it is to give these historic wild horses the federal protection they deserve. This means we have new printing and postage costs that will have to be covered.  Every aspect of getting this federal legislation passed is what we are working for this Giving Tuesday!

We are sooo close to FINALLY getting federal protection for these iconic wild horses!  We need your support to help us move this critical goal across the finish line!

We cannot express enough how critical it is that we raise the money we need to succeed in reaching the goal of federal protection for the TRNP wild horses!  We will probably be given very little notice when the committee discusses whether they should move this legislation forward.  If the committee decides to move it forward, it will go to the Senate floor for a vote.  We have a lot of Senators to talk to before that happens!
