Our roller coaster ride is about to begin!

TOMORROW, the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee’s Subcommittee on National Parks will meet to receive testimony for several bills that have been brought before them.  This includes S1377 – The Theodore Roosevelt National Park Wild Horse Protection Act!!!

HOW EXCITING IS THIS? 

Our Bill is beginning its journey through the federal legislative process!!

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates has already submitted our testimony to the committee with our requested amendments. 

Each one of you who have taken our one click Call to Action have also submitted testimony asking to support our amendments for S1377!

So far, over 2600 emails have been sent to Congress through our website!!!!  THANK YOU to all of you who have taken a moment to answer this critical Call to Action!

On top of our 2600 emails, this morning we checked in with our friends at American Wild Horse Conservation, and they have had over 4800 emails sent through their site!  We are thankful to them for helping to spread the word!

It is very possible that by 10 am EST TOMORROW (12/9/2025) when the committee meets that they will have received over 10,000 emails about our historic herd of wild horses at Theodore Roosevelt National Park!!

Please make sure you take a moment TODAY to take action.  Then be sure to ask your friends, family members, co-workers and anyone else you can think of to take a moment to take action too!

How AWESOME is it to be part of this moment?!! 

10,000 of us have come together to let our elected officials know that we need the BEST protection possible for these historic wild horses!  THAT is why we have requested S1377 be amended! 

Our amendments will make sure that NONE of the 200 wild horses in the park are removed or euthanized!

Our amendments will make sure that the wild horses that make up this historic wild horse herd are the ones who are ALWAYS part of the landscape at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. 

Our amendments will make sure that the park works with THE BEST practices for administration of fertility control that allows for a genetically viable herd of horses.

Please note:  There are MANY other bills that will be discussed tomorrow as well.  The hearing is for ALL of those different pieces of legislation – NOT just S1377.
