TODAY is National Day of the Horse!  A day set aside to honor the incredible contributions horses have made to our nation’s history, culture, and spirit.

This year, this day is even more special to us here at Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates as we are working hard to make sure the historic wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park FINALLY get the federal protection they deserve! 

Earlier this year, Senator John Hoeven introduced the Theodore Roosevelt National Park Wild Horse Protection Act.  This legislation will FINALLY give these iconic wild horses the federal protection they deserve!

BUT

The legislation needs some work!

We here at Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates are working hard to get the legislation amended and get these amazing wild horses the BEST federal protection they can get!

TODAY is a GREAT day for you to help support this critical and very timely work to help us get this legislation across the finish line!

Suzanne Roy, former Executive Director of American Wild Horse Campaign (AWHC), recently posted a great SubStack that explains a little of the truly incredible work that Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates has done to save this historic group of horses from losing their freedom FOREVER!

Many of you have asked, and our last Call to Action (CTA) has been closed.  The purpose of the CTA was to contact the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee’s Subcommittee on National Parks before their meeting last Tuesday (12/9/2025).

Between our Call to Action and an Action Alert that was sent out by AWHC – the committee received just under 10,000 emails!!!!
