We just received notification that THIS Wednesday – December 17, 2025, the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee’s Subcommittee on National Parks will be hearing testimony on our bill S1377 – The Theodore Roosevelt National Park Wild Horse Protection Act!

HOW EXCITING!!!!

This hearing will be different from the last.  The BIG difference is that they will be “marking up” the legislation – meaning – they will be considering amendments to the legislation. 

They already have our amendments – NOW we need to get as many emails as possible to the committee members letting them know that the final version of S1377 needs to include the amendments submitted by Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates!

What you need to know:

Starting NOW – EVERY step of the way – IF S1377 does NOT pass on to the next step, that’s it – THE BILL FAILS!!!

THIS is the time to request amendments.  This committee will also vote on whether this bill should be moved to the full Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee for consideration.  After it moves to the full committee, they will vote on if it should go to the Senate floor for a full vote. 

Once it passes all that, it’s on to the House and we start this process ALL OVER AGAIN! 

REMEMBER: The same version has to pass BOTH the Senate and the House!  That is why amendments NOW are so critical!

You CAN take this Call to action as many times as you like!

PLEASE ask your friends, family members and co-workers to also take a moment to take action!  We need to get as many emails as possible to these committee members before the hearing on Wednesday!
