Hello and Happy Wednesday!
My apologies for not putting out an update for this week sooner. I have not been feeling well.
This is just a quick note to remind everyone that TOMORROW (2/12/2026) is Giving Hearts Day!
We have set a Giving Hearts Day goal of $10,000. We are currently a little over halfway to our goal!
Since we were able to raise $5,000 in matching funds, that means that every $10 you donate is AUTOMATICALLY DOUBLED through midnight (Mountain time) TOMORROW!
You can make your tax-deductible donation to us through the Giving Hearts Day website: https://app.givingheartsday.org/#/charity/1669
Your donation helps us continue our critical advocacy work to get the best piece of federal protection for the wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
We also have another small but significant update from Superintendent Daniels.
As you know, the park has a website where they share updates for the wild horses. The link to the website USED TO have the words “feral horses” in it. Knowing that wild horse advocates are not fans of the word feral, Superintendent Daniels changed the URL and took out the word “feral”.
You can view the TRNP horse website here: https://www.nps.gov/thro/learn/nature/horses.htm
As I said, it is a small but significant change, and we are grateful to Superintendent Daniels for her commitment to a positive path forward with regard to our organization and the wild horses that call the park home.
Thank you again for your support and have a great night!
