Hello and Happy Thursday!
In case you missed it…
We had TWO great Horse Talks this week!
Yesterday, we had an amazing talk with Astrologer Anne Ortlee about The Year of the Fire Horse!
I had a couple people email me and ask: “Astrology? Really?”
Yes really! The Year of the Fire Horse is ALL about astrology! We celebrate The Year of the Fire Horse as part of Chinese Astrology. We also talked with Anne about how world leaders throughout history utilize the knowledge of astrologers. She gave examples of President Regan and The Vatican. Why shouldn’t we?!
It was also meant to me a little more lighthearted and informative in different ways. The people who joined really enjoyed it and we hope you will too! The recording has been uploaded to our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/1tINYBI_l5c
We started the week off with our friend Erik Molvar, the Executive Director of Western Watersheds Project. We asked Erik to come back for a talk about land leases after people had more questions after his presentation at our Virtual Summit in January.
Erik gave some great history on land leases as well as explained how they work and ways to obtain them.
If you missed it, you can view the recorded talk on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/TtfJJ_RncU4
As a reminder, all of the video recordings from our 2nd Annual Virtual Summit have been uploaded to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ChasingHorsesWildHorseAd-vj8hm/videos
There were so many great speakers and so much great information shared!
If you have topics/speakers you would like us to explore for future talks, feel free to email us at info@chwha.org and we will try to put something together!
As always, these talks are FREE and anyone can view the recordings on our YouTube channel.
We believe that we need to continue to educate ourselves as advocates as we continue to fight for our wild horses and burros!
If you enjoy the educational aspect of our advocacy, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help support our work.
With your help, we have accomplished so much over the last few years! We still have work to do!
THANK YOU to everyone who has pledged to donate at least $5 per month to help our advocacy work continue! Our donations, like many other wild horse advocacy groups, we down last year. We are hoping to stop that downward trend. A monthly commitment in any amount from a fraction of our followers would go a long way to help us continue!
We are asking that if you have been moved or motivated by the work we are doing, that you help us continue by making a tax-deductible reoccurring donation of at least $5 to help support our ongoing advocacy work. Honestly, if ¼ of our followers signed up for at least a $5 reoccurring donation, it would go a very long way it helping our work continue!
One time and monthly donations can be made on our website here: https://secure.everyaction.com/pIMNkwr21021HO0xWm0UOg2
They can also be made through PayPal here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=XNYNCNVLTULGC
Monthly donations can also be stopped at any time.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone for their well wishes for my medical issues. For anyone interested, my husband made a post on our business Facebook page this week that discusses what is happening in more detail for anyone interested: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18RZikHPDZ/
Thank you again for your continued support!
