As you know, Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates (CHWHA) has been working tirelessly to strengthen S.1377 — The Theodore Roosevelt National Park Wild Horse Protection Act.

We have a historic opportunity to secure federal protection for the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. But we need to make sure that the protection we are fighting for is meaningful, science-based, and strong enough to protect this herd for generations to come.

Simply passing legislation is not enough. We need to get it RIGHT!

We have submitted amendments that we believe are critical to strengthening this legislation. These amendments address genetic viability, science-based management, transparency, and meaningful public participation in decisions that will impact the future of this historic herd.
