The Draft EA – Part 2

Hello and Happy Monday to everyone!  Happy Labor Day for everyone celebrating!

Yesterday we talked a little about the Draft Environmental Assessment.  Today we have a few more things to share with you to help explain this process.

First, is this flow chart.

We have circled where we are in this process.  We hope this helps you see how much more of this process we still have to go.

This website also includes some great information on what we can expect in the Draft EA: https://www.fema.gov/emergency-managers/practitioners/environmental-historic/assessments/anatomy

Lastly, because we believe EVERYONE should be educated: The Citizen’s Guide to the NEPA Process – a GREAT guide to help you understand this process!

We will add both of these to the library section of our website.

Feel free to continue to email us with your questions @ info@chwha.org.

Thank you for your support and have a GREAT day!

Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home!  We are fighting for a management plan that is guided by science especially when it comes to decisions regarding the removal of horses and the administration of birth control.  Many other wild horse management plans have proven to be successful with their science-based plans.  We are asking for the same for this amazing group of wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home.
