Summit Schedule

“Education must enable one to sift and weigh evidence, to discern the true from the false, the real from the unreal, and the facts from the fiction.”

~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Hello and Happy Monday to everyone! Hopefully you are staying warm in your area of the world!  I spoke to friends and relatives in Florida where they woke up to a chilly 40-degree morning!  It’s hard to be sympathetic to them when our “feels like” temps here were MINUS 30!  Areas of North Dakota got down as low as -60!!!! No matter where you are and what feels cold to you, I hope you are staying warm!

It’s been a Monday!  I have back-to-back meetings most of the day but wanted to share that the schedule for the summit has been finalized!  We also want to remind people that you do need to sign up for each individual presentation you want to participate in.  The schedule and the links to sign up are below.

It is also Martin Luther King Jr. Day and I chose the quote we opened this blog with because it reflects exactly why we have come together to put on this summit.  To help educate advocates so that we can have a stronger voice this year as we continue our critical advocacy work for wild horses and burros everywhere!

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Be sure to check back tomorrow!  We will have some exciting news to share about our legislation process!

Lastly, don’t forget – we will need EVERYONE to testify for both our resolution and our bill.  We are hosting a Horse Talk THIS WEDNESDAY (1/22/25) to help you understand how to submit your testimony.  As always, these events are FREE, but we do ask that you register in advance: https://secure.everyaction.com/c6_951Iv7kCr9Vg6JpVBxA2

I would like to give a huge Thank You to Heather with Save Our Wild Horses and Jen Caudill with the Wild Narrative Project for co-hosting the summit with us, and to all of our speakers who either reached out or accepted our invitation to participate! You can read the Bios of our speakers and find more information here: https://saveourwildhorses.net/2025-wild-horse-summit.html or here: https://chwha.org/2025-wild-horse-summit/

Stay warm and have a great week!

Our planning stage for the upcoming 2025 Wild Horse Summit: Putting the “A” in Advocacy – Arming yourself with Knowledge to Effectively Advocate in 2025 is complete! Below you will find the schedule for all 5 days (yes, we had to add a day because we had so many people want to be involved!) along with each speakers presentation title and the link to sign up for their presentationYou must sign up for each presentation you wish to watch. Once signed up you will receive a Thank You note from us for signing and the Zoom link to use for that speaker in the coming days. This information will also be emailed to you.

This is going to be a great event and we hope you can join us!

Let us know if you have any questions!
