The Fabric of Community

Hello and Happy Thursday to everyone!

We have some fun and exciting news to share today!

Keeping wild horses in general and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park wild horses specifically, in the news these days is a challenge!  There does not seem to be a shortage of daily news!

We shared with you over the last few days an amazing article by our friend Sabina Pierce from National Geographic.  In case you missed it, you can read it here: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/dc1afeb601d641c296ff0d8f5e5af9fc

We also shared a wonderful article that was published in North Dakota Living Magazine! You can read that article here: https://www.ndliving.com/preserving-west?fbclid=IwY2xjawI0Xv1leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHYf06m4_OTyNxHhXVKRClrv2vsdp6gwf-Yo6vA7mz_BHODR5RAJVEGJp1w_aem_qZFN8l-L0CtUYzFICkLQSQ

Yesterday, another article came across my feed.   I was not expecting this one and was pleasantly surprised to read it!

One of our local newspapers, The Dickinson Press, put out an article yesterday titled “The Fabric of Community: Building Community, Changing Lives: Fourteen organizations making a lasting impact in Southwest North Dakota.”

From the article:

“There are countless non-profit organizations and charities across Southwest North Dakota that do invaluable work in their communities. For this year’s progress edition, The Dickinson Press highlights fourteen organizations and the work they do to support their communities.”

Chasing Horses Wild Horses Association: (Should be Advocates)

According to their website, CHWHA was formed in 2021 “out of significant and genuine concerns regarding the management of the herd of wild horses in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.” Readers who wish to learn more about the organization can do so by visiting their website .

How exciting is that?!  What an honor to be recognized alongside so many other wonderful nonprofit organizations in our community! You can read the entire article on the Dickinson Press website here: https://www.thedickinsonpress.com/lifestyle/the-fabric-of-community Please note, it is behind a paywall.

It is important that we keep wild horses in the news – especially our TRNP wild horses.  We still have a lot of work to do and things like this only help our wild horses and the critical advocacy work being done by CHWHA!

These articles are also a testament to the hard work being done by all of you that make up Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates!  Take a moment today to pat yourselves on the back and enjoy the moment!

Thank you for your continued hard work and support!
