We have a few notes for you for this week:
- We are trying to find out if it is realistic for The Theodore Roosevelt National Park Wild Horse Protection Act to get passed through Congress before the year ends. We know the shutdown impacted things and there are still appropriations bills to be finalized. We have meetings after Thanksgiving to discuss this with members of Congress. If this bill does not make it into committee hearings and a floor vote this year, it will have to be re-introduced in 2026. We will keep you posted on the bill’s progress.
- Our 2nd Annual Wild Horse & Burro Online Summit is coming together! We will start putting schedules together as well as update our website with all the details soon! Our goal is to host a variety of people through the month of January! Stay tuned for updates!
- Our FINAL online silent auction for 2025 will be held November 30- December 7, 2025. - We reached our MINIMUM goal for Giving Hearts Day! Thank you to everyone who helped us reach this goal! We CAN surpass the $3,000 minimum we needed for our matching funds! We have through January 27th to raise our matching funds.
