We have talked about many times the relationship we are re-building with Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the new park superintendent, Superintendent Rachel Daniels.

We think you will find the interview interesting. She does talk about the wild horses and the host of the show also discusses the importance and significance of the horses to the state of North Dakota, specifically Southwestern North Dakota.
In other advocacy news….
Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is currently working on two main things…
- Federal legislation. We are waiting for the US Senate to have a floor vote on the legislation. We are also speaking with members of the US House as we discuss amendments we feel are necessary to get the wild horses the best management plan possible to help them survive and thrive into the future.
- We have been invited to participate in a program July 2-4, 2026 at The Peaceful Valley Ranch IN Theodore Roosevelt National Park. During this event, CHWHA will be educating the public and we will also have crafts and coloring pages for kids. The BLM, National Park Service and we believe the US Forest Service will all also be on hand with their own programming. We will share details for the 3 day event as plans get finalized! We are excited to be partnering with the park for this event!
